Oregon lost a courageous champion for education today.Oregon State Rep. Hòa Nguyễn died Thursday, Oct. 9, of cancer. A former Portland Public Schools employee, Rep. Nguyễn worked for Clackamas ESD and served as a David Douglas School Board member during most of her tenure as a state representative. She was an educator, and as a legislator, she championed students and families, putting a significant focus on barriers to school attendance.
