10:30 a.m.: The Senate is scheduled to vote on:
- Requiring the Oregon Department of Education and law enforcement agencies to make available to the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission information received during investigations of suspected sexual conduct or child abuse (SB 218).
- The intergovernmental agreement for Educator Advancement Council (SB 275 A).
- Providing information on classes on school districts’ websites (SB 409 A).
- Increasing access to advanced courses (SB 736).
- Access to records for staff working with special needs students (SB 756 A).
- Adjusting Oregon Department of Education reimbursements for school meals (SB 215 A).
- Naming the first full week in March Classified School Employees Week (HB 2708).
- Establishing timelines and redacting requirements for records related to the provision of special education (SB 758 A).
12 p.m.: The House is scheduled to vote on:
- Preserving additional funding for small school districts that merge with one or more school districts (HB 3135).
- Requiring school districts and public charter schools to designate a civil rights coordinator (HB 2281 A).
- Modifying timelines for public charter school enrollment (HB 3204 A).
- Changes makeup of Higher Education Coordinating Commission (HB 3564 A).
Wednesday
8 a.m.: The House Judiciary Committee will hold a work session on:
- The use of force in schools (SB 577 A).
8 a.m.: The Joint Ways and Means Education Subcommittee will hold an informational hearing on:
- The Higher Education Coordinating Commission (HB 5025).
3 p.m.: The House Education Committee will hold an informational hearing on:
- Addressing the education workforce shortage (SB 283).
Thursday
8 a.m.: The Joint Ways and Means Education Subcommittee will hold an informational hearing on:
- The Higher Education Coordinating Commission (HB 5025).
3 p.m.: The Senate Rules Committee will hold a public hearing on:
- Paying for educational services provided through programs operated by the military department for at-risk youths from the State School Fund (SB 1034).
Friday
5 p.m.: The Joint Ways and Means Committee will hold a public hearing on the state budget at the Newport Performing Arts Center.
