The OSBA Board appointed three new regional representatives during an online meeting Wednesday, Aug. 30.

The OSBA Board, which is elected by member boards according to 14 regions, provides guidance for the association’s work. When an elected position becomes vacant, the Board can name a replacement.

The Board chose Laurie Danzuka of the Jefferson County School District for the Central Region (position 3), Steve Lowell of the Klamath County School District for Southeast (4), and Alonso Oliveros of the Willamette Education Service District for Marion (12). The new Board members will serve until Dec. 31, and they are eligible to run in the current elections for the next term.

The OSBA election season opened earlier this month. School boards have until Sept. 29 to submit nominations for all the even-numbered seats and seats 3, 7 and 13.
