OSBA has added Efren Zamudio to its legislative team to advocate for members in the Capitol.
As a legislative specialist, Zamudio will work with legislators and the governor’s office to ensure that OSBA members are being heard on the pressing issues facing Oregon schools. He will report to Lori Sattenspiel, director of Legislative Services.
“We’re excited to bring Efren’s enthusiasm and insights to our advocacy efforts,” she said.
Zamudio’s experience includes strategic communications, and he most recently was a senior education adviser in the governor’s office.
“I look forward to continuing to strengthen public education in Oregon by listening to local leaders’ concerns and their ideas to make things better,” Zamudio said. “I will take those insights to Salem to ensure that policy and decision-makers understand the work on the ground and how those decisions impact students.”
