Bio

Sara Nelson is from Portland, OR and joined OSBA’s staff in February 2026 as the Human Resources Manager.  She is responsible for supporting OSBA staff needs and fostering a supportive and cohesive work environment. With over 20 years in Human Resources, Workforce Development, and Training and Education she brings a creative approach to OSBA.

 

Before joining OSBA, Sara worked in Human Resources, and many years in Workforce Development and in programs related to supporting career development across public, corporate and non-profit organizations.

 

Sara has a bachelor’s degree in political science and Studio Art, and a Master’s in Business Administration in Organizational Design and Human Resources. Outside of work, Sara actively volunteers in the community, enjoys spending time with family, traveling, hanging out with her pets, and doing art and other creative endeavors.
