The Metro Policy Advisory Committee is seeking school board members for a voting position and an alternate to speak for school districts.

The committee advises the Metro Council on Portland-area growth and land-use issues. The 27 voting and nonvoting members include representation from Multnomah, Clackamas and Washington counties; area cities; school districts’ governing bodies; special districts; and the public. The school district nominees must be approved by the majority of school districts in the region.

School board members interested in the nomination can contact Connor Ayers, Metro Council legislative and engagement coordinator, at [email protected] or 503-813-7591. The committee meets 5-7 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of the month.
