Leslie Fisher

Policy Services Specialist

Bio

Leslie Fisher is a policy specialist in the Policy Services department and serves districts, public charter schools and education services districts on policy projects and serves all members and clients on questions related to school board policies. Leslie also researches and writes for OSBA’s Policy Update newsletter, an OSBA publication which is published three to four times a year and includes recommendations for updates to policies and administrative regulations.

 

Leslie Fisher was born in Oregon and raised in McMinnville. There, Leslie attended and graduated from Oregon public schools. Leslie later graduated Summa Cum Laude from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor of Science degree in educational studies (non-licensure program). Leslie has been a member of OSBA’s team in the policy services department since 2008.

 

Prior to joining OSBA’s team Leslie worked in title and escrow in Yamhill County, Oregon for 15 years.

 

Together with her husband of 25 plus years, Leslie raised and educated two daughters in Oregon public schools. One daughter graduated from Linfield University and the youngest is currently enrolled at Oregon State University. Leslie’s son-in-law is also educated in Oregon public schools, is a graduate of Linfield University and is a director of bands and choir at an Oregon school district.

 

Leslie is also an at-large member of the National Association of Parliamentarians and a member of OSBA’s equity team.
