Today we have a story from St. Helens School District: St. Helens High School Renovations and Remodeling program students tour Portland State University Art Building under constructionRead more: tinyurl.com/4upnxbvd#OregonStrong #oregon #publiceducation#studentsuccess #educationmatters St Helens School DistrictStudents from our St. Helens High School Renovations and Remodeling program had the incredible opportunity to tour the new Portland State University Art Building, currently under construction. This project is framed with Mass Timber and Cross Laminated Timber (CLT), which is an innovative building process typically used in large-scale or government projects. Our students walked the site, observed multiple trades working together in real time, and gained firsthand insight into a modern construction method that’s shaping the future of building design. We are grateful for opportunities like this to connect our students to the industry and inspire them to explore careers in the skilled trades. We’re excited to share a glimpse into our students’ recent field trip! Please enjoy this short video highlighting their experience.youtu.be/EImrzUdBSbI?si=WmTYSzbfDd2UjuPB#learn, connect, commit ...
