COVID-19 remains a disruptive threat to student and staff health and a smooth academic year. The Oregon Department of Education encouraged schools Monday to help their communities stay informed and safe.

ODE and the Oregon Health Authority recommend getting the 2023-24 COVID-19 vaccine, which is now available in Oregon. Vaccines.gov can locate a nearby shot.

Disease testing remains important to prevent transmission. Free COVID-19 tests are again available from the federal government. OHA’s youth testing program also has diagnostic tests available to enrolled schools.
