  • School workforce shortage (SB 283). 

Tuesday 

3 p.m.: The Senate Education Committee will hold a public hearing on: 

  • Requiring electronic communication of school safety threat (HB 3584). 
  • Setting workload for school-based health practitioners (HB 2618 A). 
  • Declaring children who are deaf, hard of hearing or deaf-blind have same rights and potential as children who are not (HB 2669). 
  • Offering a stipend to school board members (HB 2753 A).

8 a.m.: The Joint Ways and Means Education Subcommittee will hold an informational meeting on: 

  • The Higher Education Coordinating Commission and community colleges (HB 5025). 

8:30 a.m.: The House Revenue Committee will hold a public hearing on: 

  • Establishing recovery schools (HB 2767 A). 

3 p.m.: The Senate Education Committee will hold a public hearing on: 

  • Increasing the State Board of Education membership (HB 3383). 

3 p.m.: The Senate Education Committee will hold an informational hearing on: 

  • Early literacy (HB 3198).
