Education service districts can apply this year for the facility assessment grants already available to school districts.
The Oregon Department of Education is offering $2.5 million in Technical Assistance Program grants in four categories:
- Facility assessment, $40,000
- Long-range facility planning, $40,000
- Seismic assessment, $25,000
- Asbestos hazard assessment, $25,000
Districts may apply for each grant type every four years. Each grant requires a separate one-page application, and the deadline is Feb. 15. Grants can cover work started up to six months before the application period.
