La’Nell Trissel

Senior Executive Assistant and Board Liaison

Bio

La’Nell joined OSBA in October 2011 with an executive support and project management background in construction and agriculture. Since then, she has served in several departments, including eight years in Policy, two years in Board Development, and two years in Labor. She began working with the Legislative Services team in 2018 and currently serves as OSBA’s Executive Assistant.

 

In this role, she supports the OSBA Board and executive team, as well as the Legislative Policy Committee, Executive Committee, Governance Committee, Policy Committee, Oregon School Board Members of Color Caucus, and Oregon Rural School Board Members Caucus. She is known for a deep understanding of governance processes, strong organizational leadership, and the ability to coordinate complex, multi‑stakeholder work. Her focus is on ensuring clear communication and smooth operations across OSBA’s leadership and committees.

 

In her personal time, she enjoys being with her family and spending as much time outdoors as possible, including gardening, hiking, fishing, camping, and other outdoor activities.
