Senior Communications Administrative Assistant

Bio

Aika Collins is a local from Portland, OR and joined OSBA’s staff in December 2023 as communications senior administrative assistant. They are responsible for project management and coordinating between all departments and help support the communications needs of OSBA, its members, and students across the state of Oregon.

 

Before joining OSBA, Aika previously worked as a people’s office manager, and UI copy editor for a marketing automation platform product in the field of software.  Before software, they worked in radio broadcasting for 6 years as a regional campaign coordinator, a promotions assistant and stage manager. They worked in multiple markets nationwide, but managed 6 of Portland, Oregon’s local radio stations brands, and 6 of Seattle, Washington’s local radio stations brands.

 

Outside of work, Aika enjoys taking care of her family, being outside as much as possible, and playing music in four different projects in Portland, OR.

OSBA has added regional trainers to lower barriers to high-quality school board training in Oregon. Michael Campbell will be serving southern Oregon, joining Mark Mulvihill serving eastern Oregon.
