Monday

 3 p.m.: The House Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Exempting schools from health care interpreter requirements (HB 2240). 
  • Studying school-based health practitioner caseloads (HB 2618). 
Tuesday

3 p.m.: The Senate Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Applying the corporate kicker to K-12 public education (SB 521). 
  • Increasing reimbursement for student vision screening (SB 276).  

Wednesday

3 p.m.: The House Education Committee will hold a work session on:

  • Modifying consent requirements for school sexual harassment policies (HB 2280).

3 p.m.: The House Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Requiring school districts to pay employees more than minimum wage (HB 2690).
  • Assisting student inventors (HB 2768). 

3 p.m.: The Senate Human Services Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Modifying the definition of child abuse to include the use of restraints, seclusion or corporal punishment in schools (SB 790). 
  • Prohibiting public funds for placing students in out-of-state residential treatment (SB 574). 

Thursday

8 a.m.: The Joint Ways and Means Education Subcommittee will an informational meeting on:

  • Education staff and retention grants.

3 p.m.: The Senate Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Updating the Quality Education Model (SB 281). 
  • Limiting public charter school operations in a district that isn’t the sponsor (SB 767).
