Monday

11 a.m.: The House is scheduled to vote on:

  • Identifying economically disadvantaged students for purposes of Student Investment Account distributions (HB 2060).
  • Moving the program that funds pilot projects in architecture, construction trades and engineering for high school juniors and seniors from the Office of Community Colleges and Workforce Development to the Higher Education Coordinating Commission (SB 77A). 

1 p.m.: The Senate Finance and Revenue Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Modifying provisions of the corporate activities tax (SB 164).

3:15 p.m.: The Senate Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Allowing school districts to use money distributed from the Student Investment Account for payment of student fees, costs and instructors of career and technical student organization programs (SB 2537A). 
  • Prescribing notification requirements for a school district upon receipt of a report of an act of harassment, intimidation, bullying or cyberbullying (HB 2631A).

Tuesday

1 p.m.: The House Education Committee will hold a work session on:

  • Updating terminology and funding provisions related to special education programs (SB 53A). 
  • Modifying definitions of "sexual conduct" for purposes of requirements for education providers related to abuse of and sexual conduct toward students (SB 242A). 
  • Permitting community colleges to allow each criminal justice course approved by a curriculum committee to be eligible for a social science associate degree (SB 416A). 

1 p.m.: The House Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Modifying requirements for instruction plans for talented and gifted children (SB 486A). 

Wednesday

3:15 p.m.: The House Revenue and the Senate Finance and Revenue committees will hold an informational hearing on the quarterly Oregon Economic and Revenue Forecast.

3:15 p.m.: The House Business and Labor Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Amending the definition of "employment relations" to include class size and caseload limits as mandatory collective bargaining subjects for school districts (SB 580).

3:15 p.m.: The Senate Education Committee will hold a possible work session on:

  • Prohibiting the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission from issuing licenses or registrations to people convicted of domestic violence (HB 2135). 
  • Allowing school districts to use money distributed from the Student Investment Account for payment of student fees, costs and instructors of career and technical student organization programs (SB 2537A). 
  • Prescribing notification requirements for a school district upon receipt of a report of an act of harassment, intimidation, bullying or cyberbullying (HB 2631A). 

Thursday

1 p.m.: The House Education Committee will hold a work session on:

  • Prohibiting public or private post-secondary institutions from requiring prospective students to disclose criminal convictions (SB 713A). 

1 p.m.: The House Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Removing the sunset on the requirement that students must receive certain information related to statewide summative assessments (SB 602). 
  • Reviewing the social studies standards (SB 702B). 
  • Modifying the requirements of the report on the Educators Equity Act (SB 232A).
