1 p.m.: The House Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:
- Updating terminology and funding provisions related to special education programs provided on a local, county or regional basis (SB 53A).
1 p.m.: The House Education Committee will hold an informational meeting on:
- Prescribing requirements for providing education to students with disabilities during the COVID-19 emergency (HB 3350).
Wednesday
10:30 a.m.: The House is scheduled to vote on:
- Limiting the authority of a school district to become a member of a voluntary organization that administers interscholastic activities unless that organization implements policy that prohibits discrimination based on race, color or national origin. (HB 2935A).
11 a.m.: The Senate is scheduled to vote on:
- Prohibiting school district boards from authorizing, and school districts from using, certain monitoring software related to students' computer usage (SB 594A).
3:15 p.m.: The Senate Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:
- Modifying the recipients of, and uses for, grants provided under the Early Learning Kindergarten Readiness Partnership and Innovation Program (HB 2054).
- Broadening the eligibility of youths who may participate in the statewide youth reengagement system (HB 2051).
3:15 p.m.: The Senate Education Committee will hold a work session on:
- Requiring school districts to allow students to wear Native American items of cultural significance at public school events, including high school graduation (HB 2052).
Thursday
1 p.m.: The House Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:
- Moving a program that funds pilot projects in architecture, construction trades and engineering for high school juniors and seniors from the Office of Community Colleges and Workforce Development to the Higher Education Coordinating Commission (SB 77A).
