In the Legislature …

Tuesday

8 a.m.: The Joint Ways and Means Education Subcommittee will hold a work session, with the Oregon Department of Education reporting on early learning and educator advancement.

1 p.m.: The Senate Education Committee will hold a work session on:

  • Permitting students in intercollegiate sports to earn compensation (SB 1501).
  • Modifying language in a law related to protecting students from adult sexual conduct (SB 1522).
  • Establishing requirements for a high school diploma (SB 1572). 

5:30 p.m.: The House Revenue Committee will hold a work session on:

  • Modifying the Student Success Act’s corporate activity tax (HB 4009).

Wednesday

8:30 a.m.: The House Revenue Committee with the Senate Finance and Revenue Committee will hold an informational meeting to hear the state’s revenue forecast.

8:30 a.m.: The House Revenue Committee will hold a work session on:

  • Modifying the Student Success Act’s corporate activity tax (HB 4009).

1 p.m.: The House Education Committee will hold a public hearing and possible work session on:

  • Providing computer science education statewide (HB 4098).
  • School district notification requirements for reports of harassment, intimidation or bullying (HB 4139).

1 p.m.: The House Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Small school funding (HB 4044).
  • Student transportation grants (HB 4136).

Thursday

Today is the deadline for bills to clear a first chamber work session.

8 a.m.: The Joint Ways and Means Education Subcommittee will hold a work session, with the Oregon Department of Education reporting on early learning and educator professional development.

1 p.m.: The Senate Education Committee will hold an informational hearing on OregonASK.
