Monday

11 a.m.: The House will vote on:

  • Immunization rules (HB 3063B).
  • Licensing rules for new teachers (SB 216).
  • Adding school board members to list of mandatory reporters of child abuse (SB 415A).

1 p.m.: The Senate Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Requiring private school board hearings for examination of confidential student records (HB 2514A).

1 p.m.: The Senate Education Committee will hold a work session on:

  • Requiring college textbook affordability plans (HB 2213A).
  • Encouraging partnerships between school districts and post-secondary institutions to offer accelerated college credit programs (HB 2263A).
  • Increasing the number of math, science and career and technical education teachers in eastern Oregon (HB 2457A).

1 p.m.: The Senate Education Committee will hold an informational meeting on:

  • Sexual Assault Task Force.
  • Oregon Healthy Teen Survey.

3 p.m.: The House Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Allowing community colleges to offer baccalaureate degrees (SB 3).

3 p.m.: The House Education Committee will hold a work session on:

  • Changing terminology for special education statutes (SB 13A).
  • Requiring higher education credit for grade of four or higher on International Baccalaureate exam (SB 160).
  • Adopting rules for administering opioid overdose remedy in schools (SB 665A).

Tuesday

8:30 a.m.: The Joint Ways and Means Education Subcommittee will hold an informational meeting on:

  • Student assessments.

Wednesday

1 p.m.: The Senate Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Limiting school district membership in organizations that administer interscholastic activities (HB 3409).

1 p.m.: The Senate Education Committee will hold a work session on:

  • Changing the name of the Oregon Virtual School to the Oregon Digital Learning Academy (HB 2022A).
  • Including mental or behavioral health among excused absences (HB 2191).
  • Increasing excused absences for family members of military personnel (HB 2556).
  • Allowing graduating students to wear military uniform (HB 2892).
  • Creating Oregon Education Support Professional of the Year program (HB 2964A).

3 p.m.: The House Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Requiring Holocaust and genocide education (SB 664A).

3 p.m.: The House Education Committee will hold a work session on:

  • Adjusting statutory listings for education service districts (SB 151).
  • Residency requirements for family members of military personnel (SB 689).
  • Modifying restraint rules for students (SB 963).

Thursday

8:30 a.m.: The Joint Ways and Means Education Subcommittee will hold an informational meeting on:

  • Measure 98.
