8:30 a.m. The Joint Ways and Means Education Subcommittee will hold a public hearing on:

  • The State School Fund (HB 5016).
  • The Oregon Department of Education (HB 5015).

1 p.m. The Senate Education Committee will hold an informational hearing on:

  • Dyslexia screening and training.

1 p.m. The Senate Education Committee will hold an public hearing on: 

  • Determining special education services eligibility (SB 16) and (SB 486).
  • A pilot program related to abbreviated school days (SB 719).

3 p.m. The House Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Creating statewide education plans for Latino students who have experienced disproportionate educational results (HB 2440).

3 p.m. The House Education Committee will hold a work session on:

  • Establishing the Preschool Promise Program (HB 2025).
  • Creating the Oregon Imagination Library Project (HB 2247).
  • Increasing math, science and career and technical education teachers in eastern Oregon (HB 2457).
  • Grants for small high schools for existing career and technical education programs (HB 2385).
