8:30 a.m.: The Joint Ways and Means Education Subcommittee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Oregon Department of Education funding (HB 5015).
  • State School Fund (HB 5016).

1 p.m.: The Senate Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Paying for student vision screenings (SB 152 and SB 289).
  • Requiring vision screening before receiving special education (SB 575).

1 p.m.: The Senate Education Committee will hold a public hearing and possible work session on:

  • Oregon Safe to Learn Act to establish a statewide school safety and prevention system (SB 584).

1 p.m.: The Senate Education Committee will hold a work session on:

  • Developing plans for communication following suspected suicide (SB 485).

3 p.m.: The House Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • The Accelerated College Credit Planning Partnership Grant Program (HB 2263).
  • Requiring textbook lists with college course descriptions (HB 2213).
  • Oregon’s Open Educational Resources Program (HB 2214).

3 p.m.: The House Education Committee will hold a work session on:

8:30 a.m.: A joint meeting of the House Revenue Committee and the Senate Finance and Revenue Committee will hold an informational meeting on:

  • The state revenue forecast.

8:30 a.m.: The Joint Ways and Means Education Subcommittee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Oregon Department of Education funding (HB 5015).
  • State School Fund (HB 5016).

1 p.m.: The Senate Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Picking a statewide summative test for 11th-graders (SB 154).
  • Auditing statewide summative assessments (SB 428).
  • Notices sent regarding statewide standardized tests (SB 433).
  • Prohibiting requiring a demonstration of essential learning skills to receive a diploma (SB 456).

1 p.m.: The Senate Education Committee will hold a work session on:

  • Requiring Holocaust and genocide instruction (SB 664).

3 p.m.: The House Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Reimbursing school districts for providing meals (HB 2760).
  • Reimbursing school districts for providing meals required by state law (HB 2761).
  • Providing breakfast after start of school day (HB 2765).
  • Reimbursing school districts for lunch and breakfast costs (HB 2759).
  • Creating Oregon Educational Support Professional of Year Program (HB 2673).

Thursday

8:30 a.m.: The Joint Ways and Means Education Subcommittee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Oregon Department of Education funding (HB 5015).

8:30 a.m.: The House Revenue Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • A tax credit for teachers in rural schools (HB 2386).

3 p.m.: The House Agriculture and Land Use Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • The Farm-to-School Grant Program (HB 2579).
