11 a.m. The House will vote on:

  • Requiring a licensed teacher on the State Board of Education (HB 2512).

1 p.m. The Senate Education Committee will hold an informational hearing on:

  • Diversity, equity and inclusion in Oregon’s public schools.

1 p.m. The Senate Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Establishing an inclusive schools pilot program (SB 12).
  • Developing a statewide education plan for American Indians and Alaska Natives who have experienced disproportionate educational results (SB 14).
  • Establishing the Indian Health Scholarship Program for Native American health profession students (SB 293).
  • Requiring resident tuition for Native American and Alaska Native students who graduate from Oregon high schools (SB 312).
  • Requiring equal access to educational facilities (SB 496).
  • Establishing Statewide School Safety and Prevention System (SB 584).

3 p.m. The House Education Committee will hold a work session on:

  • Extending tax credits for payments to scholarship programs (HB 2140).

Tuesday

9 a.m.–4:30 p.m. OSBA Lobby Day for Multnomah and Clackamas county residents.

8 a.m. The Senate Workforce Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Agreements that prevent discussing discrimination (SB 726).

11 a.m. The Senate will vote on:

  • Adjusting the statutory listing of education service districts (SB 151).
  • Allowing teaching without a license under limited circumstances (SB 216).

3 p.m. The Senate Finance and Revenue Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Reducing the amount of income eligible for reduced tax rate for some pass-through income (SB 211).

Wednesday

8 a.m. Senate Veterans and Emergency Preparedness Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • The Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children (SB 690).

8:30 a.m. The Joint Ways and Means Education Subcommittee will hold an informational hearing on:

  • P-20 education overview.

1 p.m. The Senate Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Implementing electronic transcripts in high school (SB 17).
  • Requiring higher education institutions to give credit for International Baccalaureate exams (SB 160).
  • Lowering grade point average required for the Oregon Promise program (SB 497).
  • Updating the Transfer Student Bill of Rights and Responsibilities (SB 730).

1 p.m. The Senate Education Committee will hold a work session on:

  • Requiring school districts to adopt a policy on student suicide prevention (SB 52).
  • Funding programs related to bullying prevention (SB 180).
  • Developing communication plans following a suspected suicide (SB 485).
  • Responding to cyberbullying (SB 489).

Thursday

3 p.m. The Senate Finance and Revenue Committee will hold a public hearing and work session on:

  • Forming children’s service districts (SB 543).
