Town hall discusses mechanisms for raising revenue for schools

Monday, February 11, 2019

The Oregonians for Student Success road show continued last week with a well-attended event in Eugene that included Rep. John Lively, D-Springfield. Participants were particularly interested in the potential mechanisms for raising revenue for schools.

This week (weather permitting), we'll be hosting a Portland town hall from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at the Portland Community College Cascade Campus, 705 N. Killingsworth St. You can RSVP on our website here. The following week will be our Washington County town hall (RSVP here).

Our first lobby day, focused on residents of Multnomah and Clackamas counties, is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 12. Attendees will receive recognition during the morning floor session and meet with legislators and their staff. So far, we have 28 meetings scheduled for the day. If you still need to RSVP for next week or any of the upcoming days in the Capitol, please use this link.
