Monday

8:30 a.m. The House Revenue Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Rules for higher education savings accounts (HB 2388).

1 p.m. The Senate Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Teacher Standards and Practices Commission discipline for failure to report abuse (SB 18).
  • Teacher Standards and Practices Commission’s handling of investigations of abuse by school employees (SB 155).
  • Immediate license suspension for teachers engaged in specified behaviors (SB 573).

1 p.m. The Senate Education Committee will hold a work session on:

  • Special education-related terminology for students who are deaf or hard of hearing (SB 13).
  • Listing of education service districts (SB 151).
  • Teacher licenses (SB 216).

3 p.m. The House Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Implementing the Oregon Imagination Library Project (HB 2247).
  • Blocking some assessments for enrollment in early grades (HB 2318).

3 p.m. The House Education Committee will hold a work session on:

  • Requiring a licensed teacher on the State Board of Education (HB 2512).
  • Changing the name of Oregon Virtual School District to Oregon Online (HB 2022).
  • Extending school absenteeism pilot program (HB 2026).
  • Increasing support for students in agricultural education (HB 2444).

Tuesday

5 p.m. The Joint Committee on Student Success subcommittees will meet.

Wednesday

1 p.m. The Senate Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Student suicide prevention (SB 52).
  • School communication plans following a student suicide (SB 485).
  • Grants for bullying prevention (SB 180).
  • School district response to cyberbullying (SB 489).
  • Establishing Statewide School Safety and Prevention System (SB 584).

3 p.m. The House Education Committee will hold a public hearing on:

  • Establishing Task Force on School Safety Features (HB 2289).
  • Establishing Statewide School Safety and Prevention System (HB 2327).
  • Studying safety of career and technical education spaces (HB 2307).

Thursday

8:30 a.m. The Joint Ways and Means Education subcommittee will hold a work session on:

  • Health-related licensing boards (HB 5022).
  • Mental health regulatory agency (HB 5012).

5 p.m. The Joint Committee on Student Success subcommittees will meet.
