All eligible preK-12 teachers who are nominated will be invited to apply in March. Regional teachers of the year will be chosen for each of the 19 education service districts, earning $1,000 and statewide recognition. A panel will choose the statewide teacher of the year from the regional honorees. The Oregon Teacher of the Year will get $10,000, a travel fund to cover costs and entry for national teacher of the year consideration.
