COVID-19 booster shots available for younger students

COVID-19 booster shots are available for children ages 5-11.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved last week for children updated shots to defend against current COVID-19 variants. The Oregon Department of Education is encouraging vaccinations and boosters as the best way to prevent disease outbreaks and keep students and teachers in classrooms. It asks schools to share information with their communities.
