The joint email from the Oregon Department of Education and the Oregon Health Authority, released Wednesday, again emphasizes layered mitigation strategies to minimize COVID-19’s spread. The advisory urges schools to promote vaccinations and to implement mask rules if coronavirus cases go up.
ODE and OHA began offering the occasional advisories in September 2021 to offer useful information for responding to COVID-19, but most education and health decisions remain in local hands.
