The OSBA Board appointed Miriam Cummins to its ranks on June 18.
Cummins, the Linn Benton Lincoln Education Service District board vice chair, will take OSBA Board Position 10, the Linn/Benton/Lincoln Region. The seat came open when Jeff Davis of the Alsea School Board was recalled. OSBA Board members must be sitting members of a school district, education service district or community college board.
Cummins’s appointed term will end Dec. 31. The seat will be up for election in the fall, and Cummins will be eligible to run for a full term. Cummins previously served on the board in 2021.
