Oregon launches first ‘Moon Shot for Equity’ higher-education investment

Oregon is offering $1.6 million to three eastern Oregon colleges to look at closing equity gaps for post-secondary education, Gov. Kate Brown announced Monday. In the opening Oregon salvo of the national “Moon Shot for Equity,” Eastern Oregon University, Treasure Valley Community College and Blue Mountain Community College will work together on a student-centered effort to address systemic barriers to higher education.
