OSBA has written legislative leaders to strenuously object to the co-chairs’ refusal to take school board members’ oral testimony at public state budget hearings.
In a letter Thursday from Executive Director Jim Green and Board President Maureen Wolf, OSBA called the co-chairs’ posture unprecedented and outrageous. “Turning a deaf ear to the needs of our students runs contrary to democracy and is out of step with Oregon principles,” Green and Wolf wrote.
