TV series offers engaging educational videos for K-8, starting in March

The Southern Oregon Public Broadcasting System will run educational video lessons for K-8 students, starting in March.
The 30-minute videos with home activities will air 1-2 p.m. Wednesdays on SOPBS through July. The TV schedule starts with videos aimed at K-2, with content moving toward older audiences as the series goes on.
The Oregon Department of Education worked with SOPBS to roll out the videos based on the Medford School District’s successful effort to create programming. Medford intended its videos in the early days of the pandemic to reach students without internet access but discovered an uptick in engagement with all students.
