Oregon education leaders of color to discuss ‘State of the Possible’
Tuesday, February 9, 2021
Four Oregon education leaders of color will discuss the “State of the Possible” on Friday, Feb. 12, in a City Club of Portland virtual forum.
The noon-1 p.m. “State of Education in Oregon” forum will tackle today’s reality, lessons learned and how Oregon can come out of this period stronger, lifting up the most marginalized students.
The free program will feature Miriam Calderon, director of Oregon’s Early Learning Division; Katrise Perera, Gresham-Barlow School District superintendent; Guadalupe Guerrero, Portland Public Schools superintendent; and moderator Toya Fick, Oregon Stand for Children executive director.
Participants must register and can email questions for the panelists to questions@pdxcityclub.org. Organizers are especially interested in questions from students.
