Amazing Educational Resources records requests must be answered
Monday, October 5, 2020
Records requests from Amazing Educational Resources should be treated like any other public records requests, according to OSBA Chief Legal Counsel Haley Percell.
Mandy Dorman and Amazing Educational Resources have asked many schools for employees’ names, titles, office locations, dates of hire and email addresses. Schools should acknowledge the requests within five days and provide documents within 15 days of the request.
The information falls within public records law, but schools should only release email addresses provided by the schools for work, according to OSBA Litigation Services.
