Center for Safe Schools offers information, resources

Friday, September 4, 2020

The National School Boards Association’s Center for Safe Schools website is now available free to all OSBA member districts.

The center, launched in May 2019, supports providing a secure school environment for students, staff and the community. The center offers webinars, newsletters, programs, daily news briefings and information about best practices, as well as a forum to discuss national safety issues. OSBA members can subscribe on the NSBA website.

The center will hold its first “School Safety Virtual Summit” on Sept. 16-17. The event will bring together experts on social and emotional learning, restorative justice, cultural diversity, trauma informed practices, and other principles of whole child health.
