The U.S. Department of Education has approved Oregon’s career and technical education plan, continuing a $30 million a biennium grant to support CTE instruction.
Oregon was one of nine states approved Friday under the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act, known as Perkins V.
Oregon’s plan includes extending career exploration into middle school, fostering statewide engagement through regional CTE plan reviews, and improving data literacy for equitable CTE improvement.
