The Feb. 7 conference shares the latest guidance to help districts and community colleges plan facilities, define and communicate bond costs to voters, and win bond elections.
The Salem Convention Center event will bring together school leaders, communications professionals, financial experts and project managers to share strategies and answer questions. The daylong agenda includes workshop choices ranging from “Battling Scope Creep” to “The ABCs of Bonds.”
Workshops such as “How Oregon City Flipped the Numbers” deliver insights and inspiration.
"We went from 36% poll approval to soundly winning our $158 million bond by implementing one primary strategy. It was all about listening," said Michael Clark, Oregon City School District director of communications.
There will also be the popular “Learn From the Winners” panel session, with representatives from Eugene, Astoria, Corvallis and Harrisburg school districts.
Registration includes food, materials and access to exhibitors offering services.
