Oregon median class size remains 25 students, according to data released Thursday

Oregon’s median class size stayed at 25 students for 2018-19, according to data released Thursday by the Oregon Department of Education.
The report offers median class size for every school and district in the state by grade or subject.
Class size numbers are relatively unchanged for all grades since ODE began its current collection method for the 2014-15 school year. Elementary school class size decreased from 25 to 24 in 2015-16 and has been the same since. Most students in K-3 have classes of 16-25 students.
High school class sizes vary by subject, with social studies and science averaging the most at 26 and math, English language arts, and world language and literature the least at 24.
