OSBA is looking for policy-minded members for committee

Tuesday, October 8, 2019

OSBA is seeking applicants for Legislative Policy Committee positions.

Committee members, representing 14 state regions, serve two-year terms and guide OSBA’s legislative polices and priorities. Seven positions do not have a candidate in the current election cycle: Eastern (1), Southeast (4), Linn/Benton/Lincoln (10), Yamhill/Polk (13), North Coast (14) and Washington (15 and 20).

Candidates for a region must be a member of a governing board of a school district, education service district or community college in that region. Candidates do not need to be nominated. The OSBA Board will appoint candidates to fill the positions at its Nov. 17 meeting.

Oct. 22 is the application deadline. For more information, contact Jane Leonhardt at jleonhardt@osba.org.
