Oregonians for Student Success website channels call for education investment
Wednesday, January 16, 2019
OSBA’s Oregonians for Student Success campaign has launched a website to coordinate and support education advocacy so that every Oregon child receives the best education possible.
The campaign is urging the 2019 Legislature to take dramatic action to invest in students, Oregon’s future. The grass-roots movement of school board members, parents, teachers, students and concerned community members is aiming for adequate and stable funding for K-12 education so that all students – no matter their ZIP code or background – can achieve their full potential.
The campaign is fighting for vital public school issues, including career and technical education opportunities, better high school graduation rates, smaller class sizes and improved classroom funding.
The campaign invites education advocates to sign up to be a part of the mission to improve Oregon schools. The campaign will help citizens lobby their representatives in Salem, through email or by attending one of the campaign’s town halls or lobby days.
