OSBA to award Redmond $5,000 for student scholarships
Friday, April 6, 2018
As part of the Promise Scholarship Program, OSBA will present a $5,000 check Wednesday to the Redmond School Board for student scholarships.
The program encourages training for board members so they can better help students. To qualify for the money, Redmond board members completed a board project and superintendent and board self-evaluations. The Promise campaign aims to create public support for K-14 education, to help meet the state’s 40-40-20 goals and to lift student achievement and graduation rates.
The Redmond School District announced last week that it was taking applications to award the money as four $1,250 college scholarships for the 2018 fall term.
