West Linn High students will hold candidates forum tonight

West Linn High School students will be asking the questions at a candidate forum at 7 tonight at the high school, 5464 West A St.
The school’s Lobby Club has invited Senate District 19 Democratic Sen. Rob Wagner and Republican challenger David Poulson and House District 37 Republican Rep. Julie Parrish and Democratic challenger Rachel Prusak as well as city council candidates.
The public will also have an opportunity to ask questions.
OSBA Executive Director Jim Green said election season provides an important opportunity for education advocates to determine where candidates stand on the need to fund K-12 schools to the Quality Education Model.
“Our students need lawmakers who understand why we should be investing more in young people,” Green said.
OSBA members have consistently identified revenue reform and cost containment as their top legislative priorities.
