Gov. Kate Brown and Rep. Knute Buehler (R-Bend) will discuss Oregon’s issues at 7 tonight in Medford. NBC5 News Director and Anchor Craig Smullin will host the debate, and public school advocates can submit questions on the KOBI website.

OSBA members have consistently identified revenue reform and cost containment as their top legislative priorities. Executive Director Jim Green said election season provides an important opportunity for education advocates to determine where candidates stand on the need to fund K-12 schools to the Quality Education Model.

“Our students need lawmakers who understand why we should be investing more in young people,” Green said.

The second gubernatorial debate will be broadcast live on KOBI-TV/NBC5, Medford; KOTI-TV/NBC2, Klamath Falls; KEVU-TV/FOX, Eugene; KMED Radio Medford; and KCMD Radio Grants Pass as well as KOBI5.com. After the live airing, the entire broadcast will be available at kobi5.com.
