In response to events stemming from the Parkland, Florida, school shooting, Property and Casualty Coverage for Education is offering a free one-hour webinar at noon Tuesday, March 6, about “Student Rights Regarding Walkouts and Other Protests.”

Haley Percell, OSBA’s Litigation Services director, and Spencer Lewis, OSBA member services attorney, will address such issues as preventing problems from arising, what resources are available and how to teach students about their rights.

OSBA has also created a webpage with answers to frequently asked questions about schools’ responsibilities and students’ rights.

PACE is Oregon’s leading insurance pool for education, with more than 200 public organizations as members.
