Internship available in Merkley office

Friday, February 10, 2017

The Otto and Verdell Rutherford Summer Congressional Internship in the Washington, D.C., office of U.S. Sen. Jeff Merkley includes a nearly $5,000 stipend to make it possible for more young Oregonians. The full-time job lasts 10-12 weeks in the summer and includes conducting research, drafting memos, attending briefings and hearings, and assisting congressional staff. The program features a shadow day, giving the intern a chance to experience a day in the life of a senator.

To find out how to apply:

  • Go to The Otto and Verdell Rutherford Summer Congressional Internship, or
  • Email Jodi Niehoff, Merkley’s administrative and correspondence director, at Jodi_Niehoff@merkley.senate.gov

Deadline to apply is March 15.
