Reopening plans: The school board’s role

New metrics from the state of Oregon and the widely disparate rates of COVID-19’s spread have created different local challenges for schools and their governing boards. Reopening plans that adhere to state health and Oregon Department of Education guidelines will vary by locality. What are these new metrics and what do they mean for schools? How can local boards support their superintendents and staff as they develop and implement reopening blueprints?
