Dealing with Conflict on the Board Webinar

Dealing with Conflict on the Board Webinar

Conflict is inevitable and preparing can make all the difference. In this third webinar in our three-part series we will provide tools for navigating disagreements and developing protocols to help your meetings be civil and productive. We will introduce ideas for minimizing conflict before it arises, addressing conflict as it happens, and what you can do to repair things after the conflict subsides. Join OSBA Board Development Specialists for this free lunchtime webinar.

Board secretaries, please pass along this learning opportunity to your board members, especially board chairs, and encourage them to attend.

OSBA also provides fee-based trainings upon request. Contact OSBA Director of Board Development Steve Kelley (skelley@osba.org) for information.

Board Chair Webinar Series

The chair is the servant of the board. Running effective school board meetings requires skill and planning. In this three-part webinar series on the role of the school board chair, we will cover the roles and responsibilities of the chair based in policy, the basics of preparing for and presiding over meetings, and addressing conflict when it arises. Participants attending all three sessions will be well prepared to fill the role of school board chair.
