Mask and Vaccination Laws and the School Board's Role

After Oct. 18, it will be unlawful for an Oregon K-12 school to allow a person who is not vaccinated against COVID-19 to have direct or indirect contact with students unless the person has an approved exception to the vaccination requirement. School boards around the state are facing very difficult employment decisions about employees who are choosing not to comply with the mask and vaccination laws. PACE attorneys will review current mask and vaccination laws and outline the school board’s role in enforcing them. OSBA’s board development and communications departments will also discuss how they can be a resource as your board makes these difficult employment decisions.

You may submit questions in advance of the webinar to pacelegal@osba.org, or ask your questions live during the webinar.
