Lori Sattenspiel, joined the Oregon School Boards Association in August 2007, from the Oregon Community College Association (OCCA) where she was the Legislative Director for two years. Previously, Lori was the Director of Operations at OCCA and worked to provide services to the community college board members, presidents, and administrators. Prior to that, she worked as a member services coordinator in the Oregon Senate majority office.
A Dallas, Oregon, native and graduate of Willamette University, Sattenspiel has expertise in postsecondary education funding and policy, and has lobbied on behalf of Oregon's community colleges at the state Capitol.
She has served in many volunteer capacities, including coaching boys' and girls' basketball; and, with daughter Morgyn, training assistance dogs. She was inducted into the Dallas High School Basketball Hall of Fame and has a history starting and operating successful small businesses.
