Christian Grand is originally from the Golden State. He moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2008 and is proud to call Oregon his home.
Christian initially started his career in education as a substitute teacher, and then as the director of a rock-climbing program. In 2014 Christian transitioned his education career to working in the classroom. His classroom experience was primarily teaching 6th grade History and Language Arts. While teaching, Christian also served his local educators as the Treasurer of the North Clackamas Education Association. After transitioning out of teaching, Christian worked as an Area Director for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Portland where he oversaw four club sites that provided after school enrichment for many of the students who needed it most. Christian stays involved with his local community by serving as a Board Member for Parent Support Center, and he is an elected Precinct Committeeperson for House District 42.
Christian holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Education and Teaching the Language Arts from Humboldt State University, and a Master’s in Education from Portland State University.
Christian’s favorite pastime is exploring every corner of the Pacific Northwest–from the Tulip Festival in Woodburn to the Oregon Trail Museum in Baker City.
