Andrea joined OSBA’s legal department in May 2018. She has more than 10 years’ experience representing school districts. Before joining OSBA, she worked for more than five years as an in-house attorney for Seattle Public Schools, where her practice focused on special education and student Section 504 issues, as well as student civil rights including Title IX, anti-discrimination, and anti-harassment/bullying. Andrea also previously worked for four years at a private law firm in the Seattle area representing school districts and ESDs on a multitude of issues ranging from public records and open meetings to employment/labor law and Board governance.
Andrea graduated from the University of Idaho with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communication/Journalism in 2003; she then earned her law degree at the University of Idaho College of Law in 2006. After law school, Andrea worked as a law clerk at the Court of Appeals for the State of Washington in Tacoma.
Andrea is admitted to practice law in both Oregon and Washington.
During her free time, Andrea enjoys new food adventures with her wife, hiking with their daughter and dog, and coming home to their beloved cats.
