Alex Pulaski

Alex Pulaski joined OSBA’s staff as a communications specialist in February 2013, and rose to communications director in August 2016. He has had an integral role in “The Promise of Oregon” campaign, and has worked closely with school board members and districts to address their communications challenges, including crisis communications. He is a product of K-12 public schools and community college.

Before joining OSBA, Alex spent 16 years at The Oregonian as a reporter and editor. Before that he was a reporter and editor at The Fresno Bee. During his reporting career he has covered everything from schools to courts to growth to agriculture and migrant farm workers. In 2000, he and reporter Brent Walth were finalists for the Pulitzer Prize in explanatory reporting for their series on the politics of pesticides. Alex is fluent in Spanish.

Alex attended College of the Sequoias in Visalia, Calif., and received his bachelor's degree in journalism from Cal State University, Fresno. He has a minor in economics.
